“I have never seen how quickly patients immerse themselves in a role play – and completely forget that it is 'only' virtual.”“
With this sentence, a colleague from behavioral therapy summed up what many of us experienced yesterday: Virtual reality makes it possible to integrate social situations into therapy in a realistic, safe, and controllable way.
Our seminar was exactly about that:
- How can social skills be specifically trained when real interaction causes too much anxiety?
- How can VR be used as a therapeutic tool without hours of preparation or expensive technology?
- How can exposures be individualized so that patients can grow at their own pace?
💬 Especially exciting was the discussion among colleagues from different disciplines. In the end, everyone agreed:
VR is a valuable component for modern therapy.
Thank you to all participants for the great questions and the open exchange!
Those who missed the seminar – no worries, we are already planning the next round. Interested? Feel free to get in touch with us!
